Elvis Presley and Las Vegas go together like rock and roll. The King had his own wedding here, and today Vegas weddings with Elvis impersonators are big business.
Elvis first played Vegas in 1956 at the New Frontier Hotel, although the show wasn't a great success. The hotel was demolished in 2007 to make way for a new development, but there are still plenty of Elvis Las Vegas connections for fans today.
Viva Las Vegas and Elvis's Vegas Wedding
Elvis's big return to the city wasn't on stage but in the movie, Viva Las Vegas. He filmed in the city with his leading lady, Ann-Margret, in July 1963, and the movie was released the following July.
